Frequently asked questions

Short, direct answers about service area, timelines, permits and payment. Can’t find yours? Call us or write on WhatsApp.

01 General

Which areas do you cover?
We work with our own crew and machinery and travel to the site. Tell us where the job is when you request a quote and we will confirm straight away whether and when we can be there.
Is the quote free?
Yes. The initial assessment — by phone or from photos sent on WhatsApp — and the written quote are free of charge. For more complex jobs we arrange a site visit before quoting.
How quickly do you reply?
We reply to every request within 24 working hours. Simple jobs can be quoted the same day; jobs that need a site visit are quoted after the assessment.

02 On site

How long does a job take?
It depends on route length, depth, ground conditions and machine access. A trench for a single service connection usually takes one to two days; a longer district heating section can take several weeks. The exact timeline is set out in the quote and the contract.
Do you reinstate the ground afterwards?
Yes. We backfill the trench in compacted layers, level it and return the ground to its original condition. Hard surfaces such as asphalt or paving are stated explicitly in the quote.
How do you protect existing services?
Before digging we check the plans and site approvals, mark known routes and, where services are present, excavate by hand or with extra care.

03 Paperwork & payment

Who handles permits and approvals?
The building permit and utility owners’ approvals are normally the responsibility of the client or the designer. We can advise on the documents required, and where the law requires approved documentation, we only work on that basis.
How is payment made? Do you issue invoices?
Yes. Every job has a contract and an invoice. Payment is by bank transfer — in stages or on completion, as set out in the contract.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. The warranty period and its terms are set out in the contract, in line with the applicable legislation.

04 District heating pipe installation

Do you work on live networks?
Work on live networks is carried out only in coordination with the district heating operator, within the shutdown windows it sets.
Who supplies the pipes?
We can work with materials supplied by the client or procure them ourselves to the design specification. The option chosen is stated in the quote.
How deep are the pipes laid?
Burial depth is set by the design, based on diameter, traffic loads and existing services. We follow the design levels and check them throughout the work.
What are pre-insulated pipes?
They are steel pipes factory-wrapped in a layer of polyurethane foam and a polyethylene jacket. They reduce heat losses and protect the pipe from moisture, which is why they are today’s standard for district heating networks.

05 Excavation works

What needs to be ready before excavation?
Access for the machine, somewhere to stockpile the soil (or the decision to haul it away) and, ideally, plans of the existing utilities in the area. If you have no plans, we probe by hand before digging with the excavator.
Can you dig next to existing cables and pipes?
Yes, carefully: we locate the utilities, dig by hand around them and use the excavator only where it is safe. Work near utilities follows the conditions set by their owners.

06 Water and sewer networks

Do you make connections to the public water network?
Yes, we build the service connection and the manhole according to the approval and technical conditions issued by the water operator. The actual tie-in to the public network follows the rules of the operator in your area.
